Belgium: periodontal screenings and media campaign

The Belgian Society of Periodontology marked European Gum Health Day by offering free periodontal screenings to the public.

The screenings, accompanied by the distribution of information about periodontitis and how it can be treated, took place at the University Hospital of Liège (CHU) on May 12.

The Belgian society also launched a big press and media campaign, using public television, radio and the written press, to raise awareness of gum disease and gum health.
