'Can perio save your life?' Next EFP Perio Sessions webinar explores links between periodontal and cardiovascular health

The second EFP Perio Sessions webinar of 2021 will focus on the links between periodontitis and cardiovascular disease.

Filippo Graziani (professor of periodontology, University of Pisa, Italy and EFP president 2019-20) will review the latest research and answer questions in a session moderated by Henrik Dommisch (professor of periodontology, Charité–Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany, who is also the co-ordinator of Gum Health Day 2021).

The webinar will explain the link between periodontal health and cardiovascular health and the impact of periodontitis treatment on cardiovascular health.

This EFP Perio Sessions webinar takes place on Thursday 25 February at 19.00 (CET) and registration (35€ plus VAT) is now open.

Last September, the EFP and the World Heart Federation launched the Perio & Cardio awareness campaign, which provides clear advice, based on the latest scientific evidence, about the significance of the associations between periodontitis and cardiovascular diseases and about the steps that should be taken in terms of prevention and treatment.
