The EFP has published a video message about the coronavirus situation from its Italy-based president Filippo Graziani.
Addressed to the presidents and members of the EFP-affiliated national societies of periodontology and to all periodontists, Prof Graziani says he wants to let everyone know that “the EFP will keep as much as possible to its normal, routine activities” and mentions that internal meetings continue to take place online.
“In my country, the coronavirus has hit tremendously, and we are all locked in our homes. We are trying to make the best of it, but it really is an extraordinary moment in our life.”
The EFP president adds that “shortly we will be updating you with the new opportunities that will arise with this situation” and expresses his hope for the future.
“I would love to think that in the summer we’ll be able to hug each other again” he says and concludes by wishing everyone health and luck for the next few months: “I sincerely hope that everything will be fine and shortly we will meet again personally, which is exactly what human beings are made for.”
