Join the ultimate adventure at the XXX Brazilian Congress of Periodontology in charming Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul, from 24 to 27 April 2024. The event is organised every two years by the Brazilian Society of Periodontology and Implantology, SOBRAPI.
The topic for 2024 is Periodontics: Science and Clinic 2.4. “This theme aims to revisit periodontal approaches, based on the best quality science. In 2024, we want to further solidify the scientific precepts of our society, to qualify the clinic with our line-up of international and national research experts,” said Cassiano Kuchenbecker Rösing, scientific chair of the meeting. “Our congress will be a time of scientific growth, personal bonding, fun and lots of learning.”
“Brazil has over 216 million inhabitants, almost 400 000 dentists and more than 600 dental faculties,” explains Sergio Kahn, SOBRAPI President. “It is our responsibility to disseminate the latest information in periodontology. The XXX congress promises to be scientific, but also fun, as Gramado is known for its architecture, chocolates, good food, and is close to excellent vineyards,” he added.
An EFP Session will open the XXX Brazilian Congress. It will feature Darko Bozić, EFP president, Nicola West, EFP secretary general, Lior Shapira, past president and EuroPerio11 scientific chair, Andreas Stavropoulos, past president and scientific affairs committee chair, and Iain Chapple, EFP past secretary general. The session will focus on bone regeneration.
Iain Chapple will also host sessions on “Genes, greens and inflammatory scenes: is there a role for nutrition in periodontal therapy?” as well as “Gums, joints and kidneys: do host-microbiome interactions underpin causal links between periodontitis and systemic diseases?".
The XXX Brazilian Congress of Periodontology programme offers a wide range of topics, from the different stages of periodontitis, perio and ortho, antimicrobial resistance, prosthetic and aesthetic considerations, to osteology workshops. There will also be presentations on innovative therapies including use of probiotics, statins, photodynamic therapy and epigenetics.
The deadline to submit abstracts is March 29, 2024.
For digital posters (clinical or research), the deadline is April 21, 2024.
