Finland: press articles and emphasis on EFP Manifesto

The Finnish Society of Periodontology​ used European Gum Health Day as a call to action to encourage periodontists and other oral-health professionals to sign the EFP Manifesto: Perio and General Health.

Eija Könönen, the society’s president, recommended that her Finnish colleagues to sign the manifesto in two articles – one published in the Finnish Dental Journal and another on the blog of the Apollonia dental society.

The society also sent out a press release about European Gum Health Day 2017 and had previously informed its members about the awareness day via its newsletters in February and April.
