Gum Health Day 2019: Denmark – boat race and jazz festival

The Danish Society of Periodontology chose to celebrate Gum Health Day by taking the message of “healthy gums, beautiful smile” to two popular events.

Members of the society and students studying for degrees in dentistry or dental hygiene informed members of the public about gum health and handed out toothbrushes, toothpaste and other oral-hygiene materials at Aarhus University’s annual boat race and at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.

The boat race had an estimated audience of 30,000 people, while the festival attracted around 15,000 participants. Promotional material for Gum Health Day, provided by the EFP, was distributed at both events.
