Romania: University lecture on links with systemic diseases

The Romanian Society of Periodontology marked European Gum Health Day 2017 with a special lecture at the Bucharest University Centre.

The theme of the lecture was the connections between periodontal and systemic diseases – diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, blood disorders – and the management of treatment for periodontal patients with general diseases.

The two-hour lecture was given by Professor Anca Silvia Dumitriu (president of the Romanian society) and Associate Professor Stana Paunica (the society’s vice president and EFP delegate).
