Save the date for the Oral Health Summit in 2025

In 2025, Professor Nicola West will be the president of the British Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry (BSP). For her presidential conference, Prof West will be holding a joint meeting with the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy entitled: The Oral Health Summit. The BSP will also be collaborating with the British Society for Oral and Dental Research at this event.

Prof West, EFP secretary general and BSP president for the upcoming congress, announced: “This collaboration is set to deliver the UK's largest dental conference of the year, showcasing the latest innovations in periodontology, implant dentistry, and oral health. Please join us in Edinburgh for this exciting event!”

Taking place at the prestigious Edinburgh International Conference Centre from 28 to 29 November 2025 (with additional BSP workshops on 27 November) the event will offer a dynamic scientific programme, exploring topics such as perio-systemic connections, risk profiling, regenerative techniques, and supportive care.

Attendees will have the chance to hear from internationally renowned speakers, including keynote speakers Otto Zuhr, Giulio Rasperini, and István Urban. The highly anticipated “A Pint of Science” session will feature a lively debate on the microbiome, with contributions from Professors Mike Curtis, Phil Marsh, and Iain Chapple.
