Second issue of EFP Alumni magazine Perio Life focuses on EuroPerio10
Categories:Clinical Practice, Education, EuroPerio, Institutional
There is a strong EuroPerio focus in the second issue of Perio Life, the EFP Alumni magazine, which has just been published.
Six members of EFP Alumni who have attended various editions of the EuroPerio congress – including one who has attended all nine – explain what the event means to them personally and professionally. They offer six different perspectives on memorable moments from EuroPerio congresses in cities such as Amsterdam, London, Paris, Vienna, and Madrid.
This second issue of Perio Life also seeks to help students attending EFP-accredited programmes who may be wondering whether to work in a specialist periodontal practice or as part of a multidisciplinary practice. Cavid Ahmedbeyli (alumnus of Yeditepe University, Turkey) describes his professional career in a multidisciplinary practice, while Elisa Agudo and Riccardo Zambon (alumni of UCL Eastman Dental Institute, UK) give the perspective from working in a specialist practice.
In this issue’s alumnus profile, Portuguese periodontist Hérder Oliveira describes his time studying at the Sahlgrenska Academy of the University of Gothenburg in Sweden and his subsequent career back in his home country.
There is also a round-up of news from EFP alumni and some helpful tips on how periodontists can best use social media to help their patients.
Perio Life, written by members of the EFP Alumni committee and published twice a year in the spring and the autumn, is more than the house magazine for members of EFP Alumni. The material here is aimed at the wider periodontal and dental community, including those who may be interested in training at one of the EFP-accredited courses.
