Deep periodontal lesions, significant bone loss and tooth hypermobility: stage IV periodontitis presents a variety of problems. This requires a specific and multidisciplinary approach, in which practitioners must navigate extremely carefully.

To discuss the various approaches to this demanding problem, the NVvP is organizing the spring conference 'Top Gun: periodontitis stage IV' on Saturday, April 15, 2023. A number of very experienced 'pilots' have been invited to the program. The central question here is: what escape plan do we devise to preserve elements with severe bone degradation?
