The Oral Health Summit – PerioSmilesAhead

In 2025, the British Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry (BSP) will join forces with the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT), bringing together their flagship annual conferences into one very special joint event. Our aim is to host the largest UK dental conference in 2025, uniting oral healthcare professionals for an in-depth exploration of periodontology and implant dentistry.

Taking place at the prestigious Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 November 2025, with BSP workshops on Thursday 27 November. This Conference promises a captivating scientific programme. You will embark on a journey through perio with three dynamic streams including perio-systemic associations, clinical guidelines, risk profiling, non-surgical perio, regenerative and reconstructive surgery and supportive perio care.

The highlight of this event will undoubtedly be the remarkable assembly of world-renowned speakers. We are honoured to feature experts such as keynote speaker Otto Zuhr, Giulio Rasperini discussing his “nightmare cases,” and István Urban presenting cutting-edge techniques in vertical and horizontal ridge augmentation. Additionally, the programme will include the highly anticipated “A Pint of Science” session, a stimulating debate on the microbiome between Profs Curtis, Marsh and Chapple.
