Johan Wölber

Johan Wölber is professor of Periodontology and head of the division of Periodontology in the Policlinic for Operative Dentistry at the Technische Universität Dresden, in Germany, and associate professor at the department of Operative Dentistry and Periodontology, at the University of Freiburg, in Germany, where he graduated in dentistry in 2007.

 

He received his DDS degree (Dr. med. dent.) in 2010 working on an “Evaluation of two different computer-assisted learning programs in periodontology”. He received his postdoctoral lecturer qualification in dentistry in 2017, and the following year his specialisation in nutritional medicine at the German Association of Nutritional Medicine / German Academy of Nutritional Medicine.

 

Professor Wölber has won, among other prizes, the annual meeting award of the working group for basic sciences in the German Association of Dentistry, the Oral-B blend-a-med Prophylaxis Award of the German Association for Paediatric Dentistry, the Early Career Excellence in Dental Education Award of the Association for Dental Education in Europe, the Best Publication Award of the German periodontal society (DG Paro), and the Education Award of the dental faculty of the University of Freiburg (twice).
